We believe furniture should not demand attention — it should establish ground. We design for rooms with character and daily rituals.
Founded in 2021, empirefloor operates at the intersection of architectural discipline and living comfort. Each piece in our collection is produced in small, numbered runs alongside master craftspeople across Europe and Japan.
By rejecting fast-cycling interior trends, we prioritize solid hardwoods, organic wools, and repairable joinery that patinas gracefully over decades. Our work is not about novelty — it's about longevity, integrity, and the quiet confidence that comes from owning objects made with care.
We source only the finest solid hardwoods — European oak, American walnut, and Japanese ash — alongside natural textiles like Belgian linen, Scottish wool, and vegetable-tanned leather. Every material is selected for its tactile warmth, structural stability, and capacity to age beautifully.
Our pieces are handcrafted in small batches by artisans who have dedicated their lives to joinery, turning, and finishing. We employ traditional mortise-and-tenon joints, hand-rubbed oil finishes, and precision metalwork that ensures each piece is built to outlive its owner.
We design for generations, not seasons. Every piece is repairable, refinishable, and designed to be passed down. Our 100% take-back guarantee ensures that no piece ever ends up in landfill — we refurbish, restore, and recirculate.
What began as a small workshop in a converted warehouse has grown into a global community of designers, craftspeople, and design enthusiasts who share a belief in the power of well-made objects.
Our journey has been guided by a simple conviction: that the spaces we inhabit shape our lives, and that the furniture we choose should reflect our values — durability, beauty, and authenticity.
Today, empirefloor collaborates with architects and interior designers worldwide, bringing our philosophy into homes, studios, and public spaces that prize quiet elegance over fleeting trends.
